A real world look into HATS from the end-user and developer perspective
This session will present the design concepts, screen layouts and system flow of a recently
and newly developed iSeries ILE-RPG-SQL application that provided a Web-based
"Client Information System"
The application was developed to display rather ugly green-screens, that no end-user would ever see,
but would be exactly what HATS needed to display as a native Web-based system would.
This development effort was NOT created using default rendering or screen scraping techniques;
but rather took advantage of full HATS customization techniques.
How the HATS development was accomplished will be explained by showing:
-
Screen captures, customizations, transformations and other components used in the application
-
Tips and techniques, learned from experience, given to help you through your first web implementation project.
This project was extremely exciting and rewarding for us, and we believe that you will be just as
enthused after attending this presentation.
